OUR STORY
Having spent the past 24 years in poor informal settlements and squatter camps nationally in South Africa on a commercial level, we have seen and understood the extent of poverty and way of
life the impoverished have to manage every day. We realized that we could not be bystanders any longer but have to participate to at least try to make a difference in as many lives as possible by providing the basic necessities to life and create some so sort of platform to achieve employment and alleviate poverty.

At No More Bare Feet, we believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, irrespective of their socio-economic background. Our mission is to empower people by addressing these fundamental needs, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.
ORGANISATION OVERVIEW
No More Bare Feet is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the health, education, and dignity of children and women in need by providing them with shoes, non-perishable food, and menstural panties. The organization was founded in 2023 by a group of compassionate volunteers who witnessed the plight of barefoot children and women in South Africa and other parts of the world.
No More Bare Feet believes that shoes are not only a basic necessity, but also a symbol of hope and empowerment. Shoes protect the feet from injuries, infections, and diseases, such as hookworm and tetanus. Shoes also enable children to attend school and adults to work, thus breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy. Furthermore, shoes can boost the self-esteem and confidence of the recipients, making them feel valued and respected.
No More Bare Feet also recognizes that food and menstural panties are essential for the well-being and dignity of children and women. Food provides nourishment and energy, while menstural panties offer comfort and hygiene. Both items can also reduce the risk of malnutrition, anemia, and infections, as well as the stigma and discrimination associated with hunger and menstruation.
No More Bare Feet collects shoes, food, and menstural panties from donors, partners, and sponsors. The organization then sorts, packs, and transports the items to the communities in need, where they are distributed by local volunteers and staff.
No More Bare Feet hopes to make a positive difference in the lives of millions of children and women around the world by providing them with the basic necessities that they deserve. The organization’s vision is to see a world where no one has to suffer from the lack of shoes, food, and period panties. The organization’s values are compassion, integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
